Exploring Hamburg, Germany

by Tracy Kaler

I can't imagine living in a city that doesn't have water near or running through it. Hamburg, Germany boasts a collection of charming canals and rivers, with the Elbe most often taking center stage. Part of the city feels old and historic; other parts feel industrial, lined with warehouses, and other areas are completely modern, sheeted in glass.

I had no idea what to expect from Hamburg, but after spending two days there, I'd most definitely visit again. As you can see, this port city is incredibly photogenic.
