Chinese restaurants in New York City are about as popular as Starbucks – there’s one on almost every block, and each eatery has its own set of regulars. Every NYC local has his or her favorite Chinese joint, from casual takeout spots to upscale establishments.  But being half Chinese myself and growing up around traditional Asian fare, I’m always on the lookout for authentic Chinese food. Sorry, but General Tsao’s chicken is nothing but an American knockoff.
