The Lowdown on Rent Stabilization in NYC

It’s no secret that NYC has some of the priciest rent in the world, but some non-New Yorkers don't realize that the rent for a large percentage of New York City’s apartments is legally protected from getting too expensive. Kind of cool, right? While there are two kinds of rent regulation provided by New York City law, the most common kind of rent control is called rent stabilization.
