I have been a fan of Stephen Colbert since YouTube launched in 2005, allowing me to watch clips of American TV shows while I was going to school in London. As a 19-year-old sophomore, admittedly, I was far from knowledgeable when it came to the news, politics, and various social issues. But the second I watched a clip from
The Colbert Report on Comedy Central – namely, Colbert's “Better Know a District” segment – I was hooked.
